Welcome

Welcome to my web site. I’m so glad you’re here. I invite you to step through the mirror with me, past those outer reflections of ourselves that we present everyday, and into a secret space—that inner place where characters and ideas and questions hide when our books are closed.

The other side of the mirror is a colorful place, intense, lively, challenging, a place where Truth reigns and good and evil battle. It’s a place where the individual spirit is forged to steel through faith and reason.

It is from this place that I write Christian literature with a twist—where faith and reason blend. In this time of peril and turmoil, perhaps more than any other time in history, we must hold fast to our beliefs.

Here, behind the mirror there are characters waiting to meet you.

I’ll introduce you to Wesley Bright in Walk Back The Cat, a wealthy, powerful man driven by revenge, as he’s confronted with the secret of the Shroud of Turin. I’m going to see the Shroud of Turin this spring and will tell you all about it on our blog, and I’ll tell some secrets about Wesley, too.

Oh. Barbara Perkins, my grandmother, is calling us. Her story’s told in The Moon in the Mango Tree. Here, behind the mirror, you’ll find pictures of her and the places she lived in the 1920’s. Check out the photo album. She was a young woman, a jazz baby, in the roaring twenties. She searched for meaning and purpose in life, for faith, when she journeyed through the jungles of Siam, glittering Bangkok, Paris, Lausanne, Rome, until at last she was forced to choose between two things she loved. As a granddaughter, I learned a thing or two from her letters when writing this book.

Soon, I’ll introduce you to my newest heroine, Amalise Catoir, in Dancing on Glass—Follow her through the streets of old New Orleans, dancing, forever dancing on glass in a mysterious relationship, where love is illusion, evil devours trust, and the power of grace is her only hope. This is psychological suspense that will keep you up at night—It did me, and I knew how it would end!

And for those with unanswered questions –Faith On Trial will take you on a non-fiction journey through evidence that the testimony of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John would stand up in court—creating a powerful case that brings the question of Christ’s divinity to a new level. Writing this book was my own faith journey.

In my newsletter, and on my blog, I share regularly about life, faith, and the search for absolute truth in the moral relativity whirling around us every day. We’ll have some fun, too. I hope you’ll stop by often.

Until then, may you experience the mystery of love and the power of faith in your every day life.
